About Us

Opened in 1997 by Michael and Linda Songer, L&M Lumber is a relatively young building supply store set in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in rural Emporium Pa. With Michael's 30+ years of experience as a third generation home builder/remodeler, he is able to help you overcome many of the hurdles you face in your own home improvement projects. To be a knowledge resource to L&M customers, he has also taken and passed the PA State Residential Building Inspector exam.

Whether you're a weekend do-it-your-selfer, a camp owner, or professional contractor, we understand you are what's made it possible for us to open our doors each day for the last 10+ years. We take pride in our ability to become familiar with you and you project(s), and support you throughout. From recommending a qualified contractor to offering advice to the above mentioned do-it-your-selfer, we enjoy helping you get the job done.
